There is a definite relationship between judging others and the desire to aid in an unloved one’s sure path to self-destruction by adding a stumbling-block, or even just cheering the arrival of one. I wrote about my own struggle with this in my first Chris Christie post when the Bridgegate story first broke in January. As more stories accumulate– and today, the story was about him loading up the board of directors of Drumthwacket (don’t you LOVE that name?) with political favor seekers– I am still struggling.
It occurs to me that some people really don’t need stumbling-blocks to trip over– they trip easily over themselves and their own egos and bad judgment.
Yes, I am really, really struggling here……
