I watch, and pray, and then I think and sometimes ruminate, even obsess.
Then, often, I act.
I have to agree that the watching and praying part helps to build my strength for the acting part. There’s still the question of my will or God’s, but that is always part of my prayer and also the cause for my ruminations. Something that is sure to tip me over into action is any unfairness residing in the issue at hand. I feel honor-bound to defend others against unfair treatment, and I don’t tolerate it well if I am treated unfairly. The key is not to act on impulse, unless the issue is urgent, and to act with a clear conscience and a peaceful heart.
